Adios for Now!

So, by now you've probably realized that I have been either too busy or too lazy to put much time and effort into Blop. With that being said, I think it has been a little of both.

I started Blop as a creative outlet/hobby while I was working at a job that I knew I didn't care too much for. I was able to be passionate about Blop while living away from Chris and my family. Now that I've moved back to Arkansas and have been thoroughly immersed into my new job, which I love, I've found that I am Blopping less and less.

I guess this is me saying adios for the time being. I hope to Blop on occasion but I definitely won't be able to keep up with it daily like I have been. I actually tried to offer to pay Chris to start writing a plethora of Blop posts for me to use, but he declined. 

Thank you so much for listening to my rants and probably poor clothing choices for the past 8 months. It's been real!

Now to focus on my new job, upcoming wedding, and new Toby stories to come--I'm sure. Will try to continue to post on occasion, don't worry!

Sorority Tree Photos

You know those sorority tree photos...yes, you do. The ones where they take the headshot in front of a tree and post them in the big sorority photo frames on the walls of the sorority house. Well, that's what this photo shoot felt like. I'm repping my main girl's top--Whitney D.--and some pretty awesome jewels from Excessory Exchange!

They are currently setting up their website to start selling more jewelry via their website; in addition to their facebook page.

I'm particularly found of their turquoise bracelet they sent me. You can literally wear turquoise with ANYTHING and it looks great! The bracelet is thick enough to wear it provides that extra pop of color for any outfit.

The necklace sports three layers of gems hanging down; which is pretty popular nowadays. I've seen similar ones at Francesca's and other boutiques but I know that Excessory Exchange has it at a better price. Did I mention that they are getting all of their Fall jewelry in! The Zookeepers' Main Squeeze

1. Best quote of the entire weekend came from Chris...naturally. "What's our cover story? If we are going to look at houses we need a cover story. (Thoughtful look on his face.) I've got it! I am a zookeeper and you are the zookeepers' main squeeze." Oh yeah, we went to a couple open houses. My favorite is the one pictured above.

2. Hello beautiful! My life will now be all organized, or as Chris would say "you better be $75 worth of organized now." Erin Condren planners are worth it!

3. Literally the BEST movie I've been to in a long time, The Butler. My friend, Whitney, made me go see it Sunday afternoon and I'm so glad she did; however, she told me that I "don't have a soul" because I didn't bawl during the entire movie like she did. **Disclaimer...I do have a soul.**

4. Chris and I finally picked out our bedding. It was a long process on Saturday night, but we finally agreed on the bedding listed above for our master bedroom. Seriously, the HARDEST part about getting married is trying to decorate in a gender neutral manner.

Game Day Wear

Shout out to Lenae Stansky, my little UGA Bulldog fan! This outfit is also great for all of my Arkansas Razorback fans! Really, how adorable are those shorts?! And the peplum top is to die for! You can't tell from the pictures but the top has white leather panels on it. Ahh! I'm in love!

I'm Going to Need a Bigger Closet

3. Although I haven't given in and purchased the sweater, I did buy the grey shirt and green military jacket. Pretty sure I'm going to need a bigger closet.

You're Old

What do you do when you're not in college anymore, you're called old because you don't ever go out anymore, therefore, you decide to go out to prove them all wrong?!?!

Besides doing all of the above prior to going out to Jose's for $3 margs, karaoke, and mexican food, I'd like to share a tidbit of Chris and my "getting ready to go out after not going out for over a couple of months" procedure. <--I know, so pathetic.

I get home and find Chris on the couch watching old James Bond movies. 

Me: "Get up and get dressed we are going out!"

Chris: "Really?!"

(it really has been that long)

Me: "Really, even if we have to take money out of the savings account, WE. ARE. GOING. They called us the 'old married couple.'"

Me: "Should I get a shower?! Do I stink? Should I shower, Chris? Come smell me! I feel like I should shower!"

Chris: *comes over and smells me (true love)* "No, you're fine dog."

Me: "Where are you going?!"

Chris: "To shower..."

Chris: "Where are my tan shorts?! Why can't I ever find my tan shorts when I need them?! What did you do with them?"

Me: "I don't know where they are. I know where they aren't...in the laundry because you forbid me from doing any of your laundry."

Chris: *utter relief and triumph* "Don't worry I found them."

Me: "You better not outdress me or I will be mad. Especially since you told me not to shower and wear what I wore to work."

Chris: *grabs water out of the fridge* "We gotta hydrate lil' guy! Get yourself a water!"

Chris: "What time are we meeting everyone?"

Me: "9"

Chris: "Okay, how long are we planning on staying out?"

Me: "About an hour and a half to two hours."

Chris: "Okay, good."

Honestly, if you're looking for a great summer staple piece for your closet, this romper is it! Floral is huge right now and coupled with the long sleeve combo of this romper, you really can't go wrong. 

Also, you can't tell from the picture but the material is polyester and spandex which makes it extremely breathable and great for all sizes. 

Personally, I LOVE having to choose one item to wear in the morning. It takes the early morning decision making out of my routine. Typically I'm struggling to match a top to a bottom or, in many cases, I have one clean top and no clean bottoms to match. The only catch (per Chris) is "you look nice but you're going to have a hard time peeing in that thing today." Really Chris? At least he put the "you look nice" in front of it. Yes, disclaimer, rompers are hard to pee in. Other than that I think this floral romper has completely changed my overall opinion on rompers. Rompers= Victory.
