Work that Updo, Own that Ponytail!

source: me creepily snapping a pic of the VS girl because I liked her hairstyle and color.

Alright ladies, help me out here! I'm going in to get my hair done on Saturday and I can't decide what to do.

Should I continue to put the blonde highlights in my hair or should I go back to an all-over brunette like my girl, Jessica Alba?! Closer to my natural color.--------------------^

Next, I've thought about growing out my hair for the wedding (one year from now), but it's at that weird length just below my collar bone. So, should I just get a trim and continue to grow it, or should I get it cut in a cute shorter style, just above the shoulder?

Decisions, decisions.

I've also thought about some straight-across bangs. Thoughts???

Thanks for your input lovelies!

Polka Dot Jeans On The Cheap

Top: Francesca's
Jeans: Target $24.99
Shoes: Francesca's
Necklace: Excessory Exchange
So, funny story on the lion's mane of hair...I walk down to my car, get in, and wave at the maintenance guy. He has me roll down the window and says "I didn't even recognize you. I was like 'who is that girl with the big hair?'"
Yeah...can't tame this mane. All of you hair product companies, I'm totally open to your suggestions.
Anyway, how awesome are those jeans?! And for $24.99! I about peed my pants with excitement when I saw them on the rack at Target. Friday night shopping- always the best.
I'm actually looking for an oversized pocket tee to go with these pants, so if you have any suggestions on where I can find one on the cheap, please let me know!

Best New Website!

Have you heard of yet?! If not, you're missing out!

Basically, it's a mix of Pinterest, Priceline, and RetailMeNot. Once you create an account, you install a button to the top of your tool bar, and you go online shopping!

When you find items that you'd like to eventually purchase or just like, you press your "shelf it" button, choose what category to place it in, and save it.

What is so special about this site that you can't get from Pinterest? I'm glad you asked. When you are "shelving" items, you can set price alerts, meaning once that item hits the price you want--via a sale--it will send you an alert. When you're on your profile, you can hover over items on your shelf and compare their price with the price of similar items throughout the internet to get the best deal. I know, right! Kill me. Oh yeah, and they have an entire page dedicated to what deals/coupons are going on right now.

In addition, if you're a blogger, you can use this site like "Reward Style". When you post outfit pictures, you can set up a display with affiliate links to allow readers to actually shop your outfit pieces. Awesome.

I'm not receiving any compensation for this post and this is not a sponsored post. I am simply and thoroughly obsessed with this new site.

Please let me know if you already have a profile and how you like it thus far! What do you think, are you going to go set up a profile?! Let me know and I will be sure to follow you!

Summer Spaghetti Recipe

Need a light, fresh pasta dish for Memorial Day? You've come to the right place! This summer spaghetti recipe, courtesy of my daddy, is perfect for any summer day and so, so easy to make! The best part about it, is that what you don't eat it can be used as bruschetta. How great is that?!
10 Roma Tomatoes
1/2 cup Olive Oil
2 tablespoons Red Wine Vinegar
2 pinches Red Pepper Flakes
1 cup Mozzarella, grated
1 tablespoon Garlic, minced
2 tablespoons Basil, fresh
Salt (garlic or regular) and Pepper
Angel Hair Pasta
(serves 5)
1. Dice roma tomatoes into a bowl.
2. Add other ingredients, excluding mozzarella, salt and pepper to taste.
3. Stir and let sit at room temperature for 1 hour to let tastes meld. (I like to let mine sit for approximately two hours but that's just me.)
4. Add mozzarella right before cooking pasta.
5. Cook pasta and serve with topping.
If you try this, you will have to let me know what you think! I'm no chef, unless mac and cheese counts, but this is super easy to make and tastes amazing!
Have you tried any new summer recipes yet?

Thanks For Taking My Money Vegas!

1. Was in Vegas all week for work. Won $120 at blackjack...then kept playing and wound up with a $60 investment. You're welcome Vegas. Glad I could contribute to your great little town.

2. Upside of the trip...participated in a silent auction, guarded these Kendra Scott earrings like a boss, and walked away with these $80 earrings for $28.

3. Vendors taking us out to dinner. The food was to die for.

4. Did I mention the free meals were amazing?! Yeahhhh...

5. If you haven't entered already, make sure you enter to win these four pieces of jewelry from Excessory Exchange, here

What exciting things happened to you this week? Can anyone beat those meals I had? (Can you tell I'm pretty proud of my food?)

Want To Sleep Tonight? Don't Google Image Yourself

Hi guys! I'm Tami and I blog over at Friday Morning Buzz. While Miss Jaime is living it up in Vegas, I'm taking over her blog to teach you a thing or two about the scary place we all know and love--the interwebz.

You've never really felt true horror until you've typed your name into the Google search bar and clicked 'Image'. Seriously, mayne. My results:

Not me. (unfortunately)

Also not me.
Most definitely not me.
Since y'all don't know me, here's a snapshot of what I actually look like. Where is this gem in the Google Image results? Nowhere to be found.

I promise I'm not ACTUALLY a ghost. Just prone to looking like one in pictures.
But what is truly horrifying is not the disturbing number of pictures that aren't me. It's the images that are either totally me and totally hideous, or pictures I've never seen of people I know through minor acquaintance or circumstance. Exhibit A:

This dude? A local cop where I live that got arrested for harassment. I briefly covered his court case for work a couple months ago. Hey there Google, whatcha doin'? Would you mind not associating me with homeboy for all the internet to see?

This chick? I semi-knew her through our jobs in Colorado. Have we ever taken a picture together or even posted on each other's Facebook? Not that I know of...

My march madness bracket. Uh, wtf? I don't even remember posting this online, but sure enough here it is, in all its jacked up glory.

And the funniest of all--

Is that Helene? Shakin her booty? What. the. heck?

I guess what I'm getting at is the internet is a crazypants place. All someone has to know is your name and they can find ten year old pictures of you, pictures of people you're remotely associated with, pictures of anything you've clicked on in the last 564 months, oh and your address. Yeah, mine and my mom's. Hi!

Can we do anything about it? At this point, I'm gonna go with no. Every site you sign up for pretty much whores out your information like a Vegas pimp, and you have to give at least your mailing address and phone number when you order something online. I guess all we can do is be aware that pictures like this beauty are out there, and can be found very, very easily.

Wake up, sunshine!
Have you ever google imaged yourself? What kind of weird stuff did you find? If you'd like, you can read more of my random ramblings by heading over here. Also link up your Thursday Thoughts posts below!

Red and Blue Sister's Closet

This weekend my lovely, little sister graduated high school. Since I was flying out I couldn't pack the camera so my apologies for the poor picture quality.

Anywho, I had to borrow some clothes from my sister and this is what I wound up with.

Top: Charlotte Russe c/o Beka $10
Pants: The Limited $17.50
Necklace: Cato's c/o Beka $13
Shoes: Cato's c/o Beka $11

The bargain shopping runs in the family.

By the way, she got her dress from JCP for $5! True story! Ridiculous.

Have you found any good deals recently or have you just been borrowing items like me?
