Fixed X2!

Alright guys, time for another game. Let's play guess which piece I kept. I liked this StitchFix drastically more than my first one. I guess it's true that the more you order and the more feedback you give on each Fix, the better they get to know your style.

I received this lovely four clover, light blue gem necklace this time around. Pros: I thought it was gorgeous, a different color than I have, and the price was good $28. Cons: I typically like my necklaces to be a little bit more of a "statement" and this didn't quite fit that typical bill.

Pretty sure I saw this top in the box and about poo-d my pants. For real. Pros: HELLO, look at it. It accentuates everything that needs to be accentuated. The colors and pattern is great and you can wear it to work with a pencil skirt or wear it out with the girls. Cons: The price. $68. Granted, I have $20 that goes towards any purchase I make, but still. $48 for a top???!!!

First off, this dress is not jersey material, which makes me extremely happy, but the fabric is still somewhat weird. Pros: the dark blue is a great color to go under a jean jacket for summer and the style of the dress covered any unwanted attention to problem areas. Cons: I might just be a cheap person, but again, the price $78 killed me. It would only be $58 after my credit though so that's doable.

I will just go right into the pros and cons of this one. Pros: the colors a great. Cons: this is a sweater dress...and it's summer. Can you say pit stains?! Plus it showed my little tummy tum tum, and at $58, I don't know.

Last one was the cardigan, which I was shocked that they would put a sweater dress and a cardigan (heavy material at that), in my box for June. It's a little more hot in the South than Cali...just saying. Pros: the color, seriously kill me. I LOVE the color. They had it paired with a striped navy tank and skinnies. So cute in the picture. Cons: for a cardigan, it was $48. I typically buy from Target so that price shocked me. Also, the heat would prevent it from being worn for a while if purchased.

Alright guys, what do you think?! Which would you have kept and which do you think I kept???

Have you tried StitchFix yet? Thoughts? If you're unclear as to what it is, check it out here.

Weekend Wine Shenanigans

1. Got my birthday presents in from the fam! LOVE it! A new pair of tennis shoes, two shirts, and 7 pairs of shorts! Would you believe me if I told you my mom found all of those shorts for a mere $35?! True story.

2. Friday night girls' night! Wine and online shopping! Poor pocket book.

3. Saturday morning I went to the farmer's market and spent $12 on the best bottle of balsamic vinegar around. Seriously. Cranberry pear white balsamic vinegar. Nom, nom, nom.

4. My second StitchFix came in and I think I'm going to keep something in it this time. Post to come on my Fix.

5. Ordered one of the my engagement picture outfits while laying at the pool. With only a week to spare, I got it just in time.

6. So, Friday night we had the brilliant idea to put the wine bottles in the freezer to cool them quicker. Yeah...a little wine and online shopping later, I guess we forgot about it. Sunday morning I open the freezer and pull out a nice little wine slushy. Now, I don't want to drink it right now, but should I? All of you wine-o's, will it/has it already gone bad?

7. Church Sunday morning with my Bible and soon-to-be name :)--also includes lots of prayers that God heals my slushy wine bottle. Womp, womp.

What did you do this weekend???

Gotta Get My Fix On!

Have you heard of StitchFix?

If not, basically you set up your style profile and for a styling fee of $20, they pick out 5 items to mail to you based on your style profile. Typically, they send about four clothing items and possibly an accessory. Once you receive it in, you have three business days before you have to ship it back, so you can try it on, wear it around for a bit, and then ship it back if you don't like it. The good part about it is that your $20 goes towards whatever you choose to keep. Say I liked the $58 dress, I would just pay the difference, $38. If you keep all five items, you get an additional 25% off.

Check out what came in my first StitchFix!

Umm...hello my love. This top and I had a love affair to rival that of Chris and I. It's hard to tell with the editing, but the squares are actually a cream color, and I am very much a neutral color wearing fiend. Plus, the flowy nature of this top is right up my alley! I LOVED it...but the price killed me. $75?!?! No. This shirt and I lusted after each other for three days and then departed as friends.

I think they accidently sent me two bracelets because on my form it referenced the purple one and not the white one. I was honest and sent them both back anyway. I loved these, but again, the price point was shocking. The purple one was listed at $48! I found similar ones here for $24.99.

I loved this little cream razor back tank! However, it may be because I need to desperately work out my arms, but I didn't care for how it looked on me so I sent this $58 top packing.

Ok, seriously, tell me ONE person that looks good in jersey material and I will mail you some candy. I mean come on now! They actually sent me TWO jersey material items. I tried it on for the sake of trying it on, but I knew I wouldn't like it. Jersey material and I are despised enemies. The color was great, but the $48 jersey top was mailed back.

Lastly, LOVED the color of this dress! It even had pockets! Holla! But again, jersey material! Why?! The color would be great for engagement pictures but I couldn't swallow spending $58 for a dress I was going to need to buy Spanx for. Bye bye boy blue!

Have you ordered from StitchFix before? What was your experience?

I'm going to reorder another StitchFix because the more that you order and survey on, the more the stylists get to know your style and the better your fixes get. I'm really looking forward to my next one to see what cute items they've chosen for me. (I can guarantee there will be NO jersey material).

If you're interested in ordering, just click here. You can adjust your price points to get more items within your budget as well.
