Weekend Wine Shenanigans

1. Got my birthday presents in from the fam! LOVE it! A new pair of tennis shoes, two shirts, and 7 pairs of shorts! Would you believe me if I told you my mom found all of those shorts for a mere $35?! True story.

2. Friday night girls' night! Wine and online shopping! Poor pocket book.

3. Saturday morning I went to the farmer's market and spent $12 on the best bottle of balsamic vinegar around. Seriously. Cranberry pear white balsamic vinegar. Nom, nom, nom.

4. My second StitchFix came in and I think I'm going to keep something in it this time. Post to come on my Fix.

5. Ordered one of the my engagement picture outfits while laying at the pool. With only a week to spare, I got it just in time.

6. So, Friday night we had the brilliant idea to put the wine bottles in the freezer to cool them quicker. Yeah...a little wine and online shopping later, I guess we forgot about it. Sunday morning I open the freezer and pull out a nice little wine slushy. Now, I don't want to drink it right now, but should I? All of you wine-o's, will it/has it already gone bad?

7. Church Sunday morning with my Bible and soon-to-be name :)--also includes lots of prayers that God heals my slushy wine bottle. Womp, womp.

What did you do this weekend???

The Gift That Just Keeps Giving

Poo-Pourri was kind enough to respond to my tweet and send me a box full of goodies to try out!
I sincerely considered taking "in action" pictures but Chris told me that was severely inappropriate so I decided to spare you the pictures and you will just have to take my word on it!

These were a God-send for the little stinkies at work that decide to do the "do-do" in our shared bathroom. Pee-yew! So, in an effort to reduce the stench, I placed some of the Royal Flush in the bathroom. Needless to say, there is no longer a smell when I go in there after someone and our bathroom doesn't have to smell like Febreze all day long.

Can't deny that I've used both the Deja Poo and the Poo-Pourri at home. It's literally a breath of fresh air afterwards. I don't have to warn Chris before he enters, and he doesn't have to warn me after using the Heavy Doody. I mean, seriously you guys, this stuff works and I think we all know how stinky a guy can be on his morning poo...let's get real, it was like Toby diarrhea-ing all over the walls sometimes. Thank God for Heavy-Doody Poo-Pourri! (Sorry, Chris).

If you're looking for that perfect gift-that just keeps giving- for Father's Day, look no further, you want  need to get him some Heavy Doody Poo-Pourri, and possibly some of their Shoe-Pourri. Chris used it on his Sperry's he mowed the lawn in and you couldn't smell the sweat or lawn smell anymore. Heck, while you're at it, why not give them something for both ends, some Heavy-Doody and some Potty Mouth.

Using the code "TOBYS15" you can save 15% on your purchase through July 31st! Make sure to visit their website here, and check out some of their other products, including those for your stinky pets!

Peach and Florals

So, I ordered this top and shorts from Impressions as one of my engagement picture outfits. I had Lenae snap a couple of pictures of it after I tried it on because I LOVED it, but it just didn't fit me right. The top was a little snug, as were the shorts. I'm sending it back and am going to just go with a dress for the engagement pictures to be on the safe side, but I wanted you to see how adorable this outfit was and let you know where I bought it from!

Check out all of this AMAZING jewelry- courtesy of Excessory Exchange (minus the kick-a engagement ring...thanks Chris)!

The earrings, necklace, two bracelets, and the green ring are all from Excessory Exchange and, if this outfit had fit, would have gone PERFECTLY with it for future occasions. I can't say enough good things about this company. The owners are awesome and get back to any questions in a prompt manner.

Y'all know me, I can't pass up a good deal and when I came across their company and saw that all of their jewelry was under about $25, I was thrilled! It might be hard to tell but the necklace is adorable with it's little bee on the flower. In addition, the gold bracelet is magnetic, therefore staying in place all day long. The ring actually fits any finger, which is hard to find nowadays, and the coral bracelet- I mean, let's get real, anything coral or mint is HOT, HOT, HOT this season! Grab them before it's too late!

Hop on over and check out all of the other pieces they have to offer! They are currently working on getting their webpage up and running, so get your pieces before they are seen by millions over the web!

Funk!

Tips for overcoming frustration, depression, and weird funks.

Disclaimer: These are the sole opinions of me, Jaime, and they could go either way, so definitely DO NOT take these as inconsequential remedies for battling depression. I am not, nor will I ever be, a doctor.

1. Spend time with your cats. Don't have cats?? Go buy one. Beware, this could be a downward slope. You can't just get one cat unless you're a stay at home person; therefore, you will need two. You should probably stop after two though, otherwise you'll be even more depressed from being the crazy, depressed cat lady.

2. Run Forest, Run! Run like a crazy person. Run like someone is chasing you. Run until you can't remember why you are frustrated, depressed, or otherwise. My main theory, if you can't breathe, you can't think about your troubles. Win, win.

3. Drink. Okay, okay this could probably be on either side of the do's or don't's. In order for this to be on the do's you must drink in a way that you could inconsequently and irrefutably be nominated as the best of the Ivrester Award receivers! That, or in a way where you find yourself waking up in the closet. Just power through it.

4. After you run, make sure you end the night with the largest tub of ice cream known to mankind. That, or one of those GIANT gummy bears. Not the crap, knock off brand. It must be the Haribo kind. At least this way if you haven't died of a heart attack from running, you may just slip into a nice little food coma. Also, please listen to this peppy little song and bounce up and down...Chris plays this for me when I'm upset and it helps.

5. Sometimes a small outbreak of physical violence can be just the remedy you need to get that pep back in your step. Maybe take a friend with you just in case you need someone to video tape.

Things you probably shouldn't do if you're feeling depressed, frustrated, or funked:

1. Become a cat hoarder. That never ends well.
2. Cause a heart attack from excessive running.
3. Drink just a little and be even more depressed, drink too much and get alcohol poisoning.
4. Eat enough food to gain 25 pounds.
5. Physically assault someone.

Like I said, these could go either way...

But seriously...
My one piece of true advice to help you overcome your funk:

Buy a discounted Ad Space on Blop. Am I reaching here? Yes, probably. But it is a great idea and something new and fresh! Just do it, you know you want to. ;)

What do you do when you're in weird funks or moods???
